Barrow Council teams up with Pulse Fitness
Barrow Borough Council has signed a 30-year income share deal on Park Leisure Centre in Cumbria with leisure equipment provider Pulse Fitness.
According to the North West Evening Mail, the £1.3m deal involves Pulse Fitness maintaining the centre on the proviso that the council can buy out the company and claim complete ownership of the site on demand.
As part of the contract, the all-weather pitch at the facility will be converted into six five-a-side courts and a 60x40-metre pitch. Pulse is also applying for a licensed members' bar.
