Base2stay ready to go
The first base2stay hotel will open in London’s Kensington area on 17 April.
The £4.5m hotel, located close to the Earls Court & Olympia exhibition centre, is based on a new concept which aims to blend aspects of serviced apartments with the luxury of boutique hotels.
Facilities at the 67-room hotel are limited to create a sense of privacy, but each room will be fitted out with large, flat screen LCD TVs, air conditioning, high speed broadband internet connections and mini kitchens.
The cost of the construction was funded primarily by private investment company Western Heritable and the hotel will be operated by one of the company’s directors, Robert Nadler.
“We were looking to combine the ease of booking into a hotel with the individuality of a serviced apartment,” said Nadler.
He is looking to roll out the concept to other sites.
