Battlefield sports founder wins innovation award
Nicole Lander, co-founder of Battlefield Sports, has won the Nokia Business Innovation Award in the 2009 Telstra Queensland Business Women's Awards.
Running for the past 15 years, there are five awards up for grabs in each of the Australian states/territories: The Commonwealth Bank Business Owner Award, the Hudson Private and Corporate Sector Award, the White Pages Community and Government Award, the Nokia Business Innovation Award and the marie claire Young Business Women's Award.
The category winners in each state/territory are now eligible to win the national title for their category.
The national winners will be announced at the National Award Presentation Gala Dinner in Melbourne on 12 November.
Nicole Lander grew her outdoor laser tag company from a niche hobby to a thriving international business. Having first been exposed to table-top role playing games in the 1980s, she moved onto computer simulation games before creating her own company focused on live gaming.
