Battleship Cove opens Pearl Harbor exhibit
Battleship Cove - a not-for-profit maritime museum in Fall River, Massachusetts, US - has unveiled a new exhibit recreating the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in World War Two.
The Pearl Harbor Experience at Battleship Cove will operate several times every day during the summer season and includes outdoor spaces along the museum's waterfront. Buildings housing PT boat displays; the dock area and access ramps; and parts of USS Joseph P Kennedy and USS Massachusetts also form part of the experience.
Visitors will be transported back to 1941 at the time of the infamous attack, which has been created with the help of consultant and experience designer Lawrence Fisher. Battleship Cove executive director Brad King said: "We are introducing an exciting new experience seldom found within the museum world, connecting the audience with those men and women whose lives were permanently changed by the attack."
