Beatrix Potter attraction gets new boss
Andy Poole, part of the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction's management team for five years, has been appointed as its new boss.
He takes over from Richard Foster, who has been general manager of the Bowness-on-Windermere, Cumbria-based attraction since 1992. Foster will be moving to the Brewery Arts Centre in Kendal, where he is taking on the role of new chief executive. As chief executive and director of finance, Poole now aims to continue developing the site's visitor experience by reinvesting in improvements to the displays of Beatrix Potter's characters, tearoom and shops and in recruiting new staff.
