Belfast events to celebrate Titanic's launch
A two-month programme of events is to take place across Belfast in a bid to mark the 100th anniversary of the launch of RMS Titanic - starting on 31 March.
Two exhibitions are to be at the heart of the programme, with the Titanic 100 photographic exhibition due to open on 31 March on the lawns of City Hall. Meanwhile, a second exhibition inside City Hall will focus on SS Nomadic and its story. The vessel also launched in 1911, and that exhibition will open in early May.
A series of land and water-based tours visiting key landmarks associated with the history of the Titanic are also planned between 31 March and 31 May. Details: www.belfastcity.gov.uk
