Belfast hosts Week of Dance
Belfast City Council’s annual Week of Dance kicks off on 9 September.
The week’s dance activities will include: Hawaiian hula, Mexican folk partner dancing, bellydancing, salsa, urban disco, circle dancing, junior Latino disco, jive dancing and the Argentine tango.
Deputy Lord Mayor Ruth Patterson said: “Dancing is a great way to keep fit and have fun – it builds stamina, strengthens and tones your legs and body, increases flexibility and relieves stress.
“There are lots of dance classes available in the city’s leisure and community centres so, whatever your age and interest, there should be something to get your body moving.” Details: www.belfastcity.gov.uk
