A new wellness centre based on the Beljanski approach to cellular health is to open in Manhattan, New York City, US, in February 2009.

Located on the sixth floor of a building on 150 East 55th Street, between Lexington and Third avenues, the 3,000sq ft (278.7sq m) Beljanski Wellness Center will offer a range of treatments. In addition, there will be other health professionals on the same floor such as an acupuncturist and nutritionist/dietician.

Product brands will include TargetAge nutritional supplements and skincare and make-up range French Secret. The centre has committed to only carrying products that are paraben-free. The spa will be managed by Mireille MacCarthy and Cheryl Jacobs will serve as a consultant.

French molecular biologist Mirko Beljanski worked at the Pasteur Institute for more than 30 years. Considered a pioneer in environmental medicine, his findings about carcinogenesis and the destabilisation of DNA helped to underline the risks involved with continuous exposure to toxic chemicals in the environment.

The renovation of the centre is being supervised by Mirko’s daughter, Sylvie Beljanski. Details: beljanski.com
