Berkeley Centre opens
A new independent health club and spa concentrating on holistic treatments has opened in Bristol.
The Berkeley Centre offers a diverse range of health and fitness services delivered by a staff of 28 practitioners, four personal trainers and 12 group exercise instructors.
The centre targets a wide range of customers, from young professionals to senior adults whether they require injury rehabilitation, weight management, sports performance or pregnancy services.
There is no membership fee and customers pay only for the services they use, which range from a £5 dance class to a £55 life coaching session. Staff work with clients to manage their healthcare and build bespoke packages to meet their individual health and fitness needs.
The gym equipment has been supplied by Escape Fitness.
The concept is the brainchild of two of the facility’s four directors – Peter Culliford and Brad van Hooijdonk.
“Brad was struggling to recover from a recurring sports injury and was frustrated with an inability to link all the professionals helping his rehabilitation. Peter has a medical background and they recognised the gap in the market for a business that could offer all these services under one roof,” explained centre manager, Kate Johnstone.
