Betonsports.com shuts down US operations
Betonsports.com has closed down 85 per cent of its business by “temporarily discontinuing” its US-facing sports betting services.
The Costa Rica-based company did so under the conditions of a US-enforced restraining order and now only has its Asia-facing websites up and running.
The news follows the arrest of 11 people, including Betonsports chief executive, David Carruthers, on conspiracy, racketeering and fraud charges.
