Birmingham NEC to gain super casino?
Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre has become the latest UK site to unveil plans to develop a ‘super casino’, pending the proposed government gambling deregulation.
The NEC has shortlisted five potential development partners for a £300m Las Vegas-style casino complex, which include US-based operators Harrah’s, MGM and Ameristar.
The development will also feature a hotel, bars, restaurants, sports and leisure facilities and could create 1,500 jobs in the local area. Details: www.necgroup.co.uk
