Birmingham takes bite out of short breaks market
Gastronomic short breaks are to be used to market Birmingham as a city with diverse cuisine at its heart.
Called Birmingham Bites, the marketing campaign was launched in mid-October and will promote the city’s wide selection of culinary offerings – from fine dining to world cuisine – alongside its range of local food producers and international culinary markets.
Areas such as the city’s Balti Triangle, where the Pakistani-Kashmiri community created the Balti dish and where the majority of Balti restaurants are located – will be highlighted.
The short breaks on offer will also include a spa break weekend package, or an Aston Villa FC Premiership weekend break, which will include a pre-match stadium tour and a three-course silver service meal. Details: www.birminghambites.com
