Blackpool prepares to receive a touch of Africa
Pleasure Beach theme park, in Blackpool, will be the site for the first international installation of the Wild Earth:African Plains ride.
The interactive ride sends two participants – a driver and a photographer – on a journey into the Serengeti in a truck-themed capsule.
The simulator features three axes of motion and riders are able to discover the thrill and unique landscapes of an African experience.
The ride was created in a joint effort by two US-based companies, Super X Studios and the Entertainment Technology Company (EnTCo).
Geoffrey Thompson, managing director of Pleasure Beach, said: “The Wild Earth ride is the first of its kind in Europe and will be another scoop for the Pleasure Beach.”
The interactive photo safari, which allows riders to navigate the vehicle freely in any direction they want, will arrive in Blackpool in early July.
