Bob the Builder to debut at Legoland
Children's entertainment provider, HIT Entertainment, has signed a deal with attractions operator Merlin Entertainment to provide its Legoland theme parks with a new 4D cinema attraction.
Called Bob the Builder and the Roller Coaster, the movie will be produced and supplied by California, US-based companies SD Entertainment and Threshold Animation Studios.
The 10-minute movie will begin showing at Legoland theatres worldwide from March 2009 and combines 3D imagery with special effects - such as wind and mist - for a 4D effect. The film will use animation developed by SD Entertainment and 3D stereoscopic technology from Threshold Animation Studios and IBM.
