Bobbejaanland launches Desperado City
The Bobbejaanland theme park in Lichtaart, Belgium, has launched Desperado City, a Wild West-themed interactive virtual reality game.
Developed by Belgian multimedia company Alterface, Desperado City cost 750,000 euro (£513,000, US$965,000) and involves up to sixty players at one time watching an animated film.
Acting as sheriffs sitting on individually moving and reacting horses, players shoot at characters and objects on a cinema screen, which determines the outcome of the film. The player deemed “Best Sheriff” at the end of the game receives a reward.
Bobbejaanland will also reveal its new Dreamcatcher rollercoaster to the press on 1 July. Details: www.bobbejaanland.be
