Bonnington Group buys former Gillette headquarters
Dublin-based hotel group Bonnington has bought the former Gillette Headquarters at Gillette Corner, west London, for more than £30m.
The group plans to turn the site into a mixed-use facility and has appointed architects HOK to help develop the vision.
A planning application is due to be submitted in spring 2006.
Bonnington – part of the Regency Hotel Group – owns the Bonnington Hotel in London and The Cavendish Hotel in Eastbourne.
The group also has interests in Ireland, Malaysia and South Africa, and is in the process of building The Bonnington Tower in Jumeriah Lakes, Dubai.
The 40-storey tower will feature a five-star 200-bedroom hotel and 286 luxury apartments.
Bonnington has revealed it plans to float on the London Stock Exchange in due course. Details: www.bonningtongroup.com
