Boost for Llantwit Major chapel centre plans
A new learning and exhibition centre is to be created at a ruined 13th century Llantwit Major chapel after the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) provided £300,000 towards the scheme.
Described as the "Westminster Abbey of Wales", the Galilee Chapel is located next to the Grade I-listed St Illtud's Church. The Rectorial Benefice of Llantwit Major will use the HLF funding to display Celtic Stones and tell the story of Christianity as it developed at the South Wales site.
