Boost to Namibian tourism
Namibia Tourism has predicted the country will see a 30 per cent increase in the number of UK visitors over the next year, following the launch of Air Namibia’s new direct flight from London Gatwick to Windhoek on 1 July.
Sales and marketing manager Debbie Walker said: “The timing of the new flights from Gatwick present tour operators and agents with the potential to sell Namibia as a short break destination for the first time.”
Namibian Tourism is also focused on promoting its self-drive holidays, which it belives sets Namibia apart from other east African safari destinations.
