Bourne to sell Oasis to Center Parcs
Center Parcs, the chain of holiday villages, is to acquire the Oasis Holiday Village in the Lake District.
Oasis, which was launched in 1997 by the Rank Group, was originally intended to target the Center Parcs market as a competitor, but plans to develop the brand were not carried through.
Bourne Leisure, the company which acquired Oasis along with the rest of Rank's holiday businesses has decided to sell the village, which is expected to cost around £90m, in order to focus upon its other interests, primarily Haven and Butlins.
