Braille and tactile signage sales on the increase
With the deadline approaching for companies to comply with the third part of the Disability Discrimination Act, braille and tactile signage demands are increasing, says Anthony Cosham of signs specialist, Jantick.
'Public access buildings, such as health clubs, leisure centres and sports clubs and venues are leading the demand. Since the end of last year, we have noticed a 30-40 per cent increase in requests for embossed signage.'
Jantick supplies an extensive range of braille and tactile signage under the Bespoke Braille and Clearline brand names. Using a variety of background materials, from aluminium to Perspex, all products are manufactured to the Sign Design Guide - a joint publication of the RNIB and Sign Design Society.
