Briatore steps down as QPR chair
Ishan Saksena has been named as the new chair of Queens Park Rangers Football Club (QPRFC) after Flavio Briatore confirmed that he had stepped down from the role.
Briatore, along with Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone, acquired the club three years ago and will remain as shareholders of the club. The Mittal family has also increased its stake in the club. Briatore said: "Although my commitment to the club remains unchanged, I now feel the need to focus my energies into other fields as well. I'm very happy that my position as chair of QPR will go to Ishan Saksena."
Meanwhile, Wrexham Football Club (WFC) has confirmed that chair Geoff Moss has relinquished his position after two years in the role. Ian Roberts has taken over a new chair, while Moss remains a member of the board.
