Brisbane gets adventurous with opening of bridge climb attraction
Brisbane residents and visitors have enthusiastically embraced the new Story Bridge Adventure Climb attraction which opened on Saturday 1 October 2005.
After more than two years in the planning, the Story Bridge Adventure Climb offers visitors the chance to get up close and personal with one of Brisbane’s most famous icons, the Story Bridge, by climbing more than 80m above the Brisbane River.
Spectacular views of Brisbane city across Moreton Bay and Moreton Island are a bonus for brave bridge climbers and, on a clear day, climbers can enjoy views as far as the Glass House Mountains in the north and to the world heritage listed Lamington National Park in the south.
