Bristol Brewery site plans unveiled
Plans for an 800,000sq ft mixed-use scheme for the centre of Bristol have been unveiled, including 37,500sq ft of leisure space.
Developer Johnny Gallagher bought the former Courage Brewery five-acre site in 1999 and has signed up architects Colwyn Foulkes & Partners to design an 'employment-led' regeneration scheme.
'The scheme design has been drawn up to both reflect the legacy of sugar and brewing industry over the last 2-300 years and to take forward this important site, at the centre of a major European city, into the 21st century,' said Nick Foulkes.
Planned ground floor uses include a new waterfront restaurants, bars and cafes, a health and leisure facility with swimming pool and spa as well as a cr'che and 'community space'.
Allsop, Knight Frank and King Sturge are acting as joint letting agents.
