British Film Institute announces £4.3m revamp
The British Film Institute (BFI) in London is to undergo a £4.3m refurbishment which will provide the venue with new catering facilities as well as a pedestrian link from the BFI London Imax Cinema into the heart of the building.
The scheme, designed by Buchanan Associates Architects and consultant hurleypalmerflatt, will also include the revamp of the foyer, the educational zones and exhibition areas.
The scheme is part of the BFI’s aim to rejuvenate the existing national Film Theatre and to bring it up to date with the South Bank’s other music, arts and theatre facilities.
