Bruce Minto appointed chair of National Museums Scotland
Fiona Hyslop, the Scottish cabinet secretary for culture and external affairs, has announced the appointment of Bruce Minto as the new chair of National Museums Scotland (NMS).
Minto will replace Sir Angus Grossart and is the co-founder of corporate law firm Dickson Minto. The appointment will run for four years, with effect from 1 August 2012.
A member of the NMS board of trustees since October 2010, Minto fronted the successful campaign to raise funding for the £46m renovation of the National Museum of Scotland.
