Budget chain Edge Fitness secures new sites in US expansion push
Low cost operator The Edge Fitness Clubs has secured two new sites as it continues its expansion across the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions in the US.
The company has agreed property deals for clubs in Christiana, Delaware, and Media, Pennsylvania.
Both sites are set to open in early 2019, marking the 11th and 12th locations.
Joe Moretti, senior vice president of operations, said the openings will kick off a "breakthrough year" for the company, which is based on a format of providing a "high-end feel of a boutique studio, but with affordable pricing".
"We foresee 2019 as a big year for The Edge and are excited about continuing our growth and expansion," Moretti said.
"Not only is this a thrilling time in The Edge's history, but we're looking forward to bringing high-end facilities, amenities and amazing fitness results to these communities."
Founded in 2015, the chain currently has around 150,000 across its portfolio.
