Bulgari to open spa in Bali
Bulgari Hotels & Resorts, the joint venture company fomed by Italian jeweller Bulgari and Marriott Interntational, has plans to open a hotel and spa in Bali.
The resort – the company’s second project, after the opening of the Milan Bulgari Hotel in May – is to be owned and developed by MRA Group & Partners, the Indonesian owner of the country’s franchised Bulgari stores.
Bulgari will license its brand and Marriot International’s Luxury Group will manage the site.
The resort is situated on a secluded cliff-top near Pectau village on the southern tip of the Jimbaran Peninsula.
Designed by Antonio Citterio & Partners for Bulgari in a contemporary interpretation of Balinese style, it will offer a large spa, a private beach, two restaurants, a library, several meeting rooms and a Bulgari store. Accommodation will be in 58 sea-views villas. Details: www.bulgari.com
