Burger King launches a healthier range
Fastfood restaurant chain Burger King launched a new range of healthier food options nationwide on 1 April.
The new menu is based around baguettes with four different fillings, while new ovens have been installed in UK outlets to bake the baguettes on site and staff have been trained about the product.
The new menu was successfully trialled in Scotland at the end of 2004 at a cost of £750,000.
In addition, Greg Brenneman, CEO, has unexpectedly resigned to return to previous employer Turn Works, the private equity firm.
Burger King’s president and chief financial executive officer, John Chidsey, will replace Brenneman with immediate effect. Details: www.burgerking.co.uk
