Busan City seeks investors
Busan Metropolitan City (BMC), Korea, is in talks with US and Japanese developers for investment in the urban entertainment centre of its Centum City project, one of the city's three millennium projects.
At 98,290sq m, the urban entertainment centre lies adjacent to the waterfront and will include a cinema, hotel, shopping mall, restaurants and amusements.
Divided into distinct zones, Centum City will also include a theme park area and mixed use districts. The Busan Exhibition and Convention Centre was the city's first building to open in May 2001.
Also, site preparation is expected to take place next year on the East Busan Tourist Complex, an international resort comprising a theme park, waterpark, resort hotels, timeshares, an art centre, golf courses, retail, cinemas and restaurants. Details: http://busan.kisc.org
