Bussink Design has installed the R80XL Giant Observation Wheel in Munich
Bussink Design, based in Switzerland, has installed a transportable giant observation wheel in Munich, Germany.
Bussink Design worked with Maurer German Wheels, Munich, to manufacture the attraction.
The brand new Observation Wheel R80XL SP, reaches about 80 metres high. It houses 500,000 LED lights, which can be seen from across the city.
The giant Observation Wheel is available in a stationary semi?transportable version for permanent or long term installation and also in a fully transportable version that comes with its own compact base frame which supports the whole structure (30 x 35 metres dimension). This version is intended for operators who plan to move the wheel around. Transportation of the wheel takes approximately 60 specially adapted standard ISO containers.
For both versions two different cabin packages are offered: 54 x 8?passenger cabins in different seating configurations (face?to?face, back?to?back, cocktail, dinner or VIP), or 27 x 16?passenger cabins, also available in the different configurations.
All cabins are designed and manufactured by CWA from Switzerland.
Siemens Germany provided the drive and control system and R&S Dynamics AG from Vaduz, Liechtenstein for the engineering.
