CAD38m Indoor sports complex opens in Edmonton
A new CA$38m (US$37m, £24m) indoor sports centre has opened in Edmonton, Canada.
The GO Centre is located within the grounds of University of Alberta (UofA) and will be the new home of the UofA basketball, volleyball and gymnastics teams.
The 236,000sq ft multi-use complex has five full-size basketball courts that can be converted into 10 volleyball courts or 30 badminton courts.
In competition mode, the venue can be transformed to house 2,800 spectators with a single central court.
There is also a separate 22,000sq ft Ortona Gymanstics Hall
