CLS begins work on new facilities at Yarborough
Community Leisure Services (CLS) has begun the £90,000 revamp of Yarborough Leisure Centre in Lincoln.
A 100sq m studio and 23sq m meeting room are being added and are scheduled to open at the end of January 2007.
Stuart Blackbourn, CLS contract manager for Lincoln, said: “In consultations with our customers, 85 per cent expressed an interest in our aerobic programme and so the new studio allows us to significantly develop and increase our current programme.
“It also provides a further opportunity for us to expand our programme for the over 55s and under 16s.”
The development follows a new health and fitness suite which was added at Yarborough last year as well as improvements to the reception area to add a café, and the replacement of the all weather pitch. Details: www.yarboroughleisure.co.uk
