Cairngorms National Park plan submitted to Scottish Executive
The proposed National Park Plan for the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland has been submitted to the Scottish Executive for approval.
The plan sets out the 25-year vision for the park as well as priorities for action for the first five years, from 2007–2012. It is intended to guide the work of all public bodies operating within the Cairngorms in delivering the four aims of the park.
The Cairngorms National Park Authority-led (CNPA) plan was produced following discussions between public sector bodies operating in the park, the general public and other interested bodies.
Scottish Natural Heritage, VisitScotland and local authorities have already approved the plan.
It is hoped that the strategy will be approved within the next few months. Details: www.cairngorms.co.uk
