Calls for smoking ban
A survey conducted by Britain's General Union (GMB) has revealed a large number of leisure industry workers want to see smoking banned in London's 15,000 pubs, clubs and restaurants.
Of the 5000 London leisure staff surveyed, over 80 per cent believed their health had suffered as a result of passive smoking at work, and more than 50 per cent has complained to their employer. The most common complaints were sore eyes and a persistent cough.
