Calypso Waterpark to open in June
The Calypso Waterpark in the Canadian capital city Ottawa is set to open on 7 June 2010.
The CAD$45m (US$41.6m, £25.2m, 28.6m euro) park is the brain child of Quebec City businessman Guy Drouin, and will boast extreme-style waterslides, a 4,645sq m wave pool, a jungle river, a beach and restaurants.
Covering an area of 100 acres, the park's rides have been supplied by WhiteWater West and include the country's first Family Boomerango - the winner of the 2008 IAAPA award for Best New Product.
The park will be able to host 12,000 visitors each day.
