Canary Wharf hotel heralds “new way forward” for Hilton
Hilton has opened the first of three planned UK ‘lifestyle’ hotels at Canary Wharf in London.
The £53m, 283-room property will be followed by the 245-room Hilton London Tower Bridge in September and the 279-room Hilton Manchester Deansgate in October. All three have been designed by Jestico & Wiles.
Hilton’s president for the UK and Ireland, Howard Friedman, said the properties “signal a fresh way forward for Hilton in the UK and Ireland”.
“Through these exciting developments we aim to deliver what today’s guest demands,” he said. “Fantastic modern facilities for both business and leisure, with an element of luxury and surprise.”
The Hilton London Canary Wharf includes the Cinnamon Bar & Restaurant, conference and meeting rooms as well as a 400-capacity quayside ballroom, three executive floors and a business lounge and a LivingWell Express fitness facility. Details: www.hiltonworldwide.com
