Canterbury council appoints SLCC for indoor review
Canterbury City Council has commissioned the Sport, Leisure and Culture Consultancy (SLCC) to undertake an indoor leisure review of its five leisure facilities located in Canterbury, Whitstable and Herne Bay.
The council is aiming to identify ways to cut costs by finding a more effective way to manage the sites.
The review will explore current management arrangements and explore future options for funding, investment and management.
The Council and its leisure operating partner Active Life are currently developing three new facilities - Whitstable Sports Centre, Herne Bay Sports Village and Herons Swimming Pool in Herne Bay.
