Caring buys Soho House for £105m
Richard Caring, the owner of the Ivy restaurant, has acquired the Soho House members’ club chain for £105m.
Caring -– who also owns Le Caprice and J Sheekey restaurants and Annabel’s nightclub in London – bought out 28 small shareholders, securing an 80 per cent stake in the club. The remaining 20 per cent is held by Soho House founder Nick Jones.
New branches are planned for Hollywood, Miami, Berlin and Chicago, and there are plans open sites in Tokyo, Shanghai, Cairo and Sydney.
