Carluccio's acquired for £90m
The £90m takeover of Carluccio's restaurant group has been declared unconditional.
The bid by the Dubai-based Landmark Group - using its C1 Acquisitions subsidiary -will not be opposed by Carluccio's major shareholder, entrepreneur Richard Caring.
Caring is the owner of Caprice Holdings, which owns the Ivy and J Sheeky restaurants, as well as the Annabel's members club.
Landmark, which already owns the franchise rights to Carluccio's in the Middle East, has received acceptances of 74.6 per cent of the issued share capital of the Italian food chain.
Landmark will request that trading of Carluccio's shares on the AIM be cancelled once it has support from 90 per cent of shareholders.
Carluccio's has more than 50 restaurants across the UK.
