Center Parcs Elveden Forest site reopens after fire
Center Parcs is to reopen its Elveden Forest site on 11 July, following the completion of a £45m rebuilding programme following the fire which ravaged the central facilities of the holiday park last April.
Reconstruction of the 400-acre Suffolk site began in August 2002 and took 10 months to complete with many new leisure facilities joining the rebuilt central area. The Sports Lake beach has doubled in size while new executive villas have been built, complete with mini spas and patio hot tubs.
Other new features include a separate children’s pool in the Subtropical Swimming Paradise, an Indian restaurant and a Balinese-themed Aqua Sana spa, offering 16 different beauty treatment rooms.
Elveden is one of four Center Parcs sites in the UK – the others being Oasis Whinfell, Sherwood and Longleat – and managing director Martin Dalby hopes that visitors to Elveden will be pleased with the new site as he is: “We’ve taken the opportunity to look at every aspect of Elveden Forest and see where we could make it an even better experience for our guests.”
