Center Parcs’ success in second Woburn inquiry
Center Parcs’ proposed holiday village at Warren Wood near Woburn, Bedfordshire, has received confirmation of orders for the diversion of two public rights of way at the site.
LDA Design, the lead masterplanner for the scheme, welcomed the news.
Alister Kratt, partner of LDA Design, said: “It is great news that Center Parcs has progressed to the next stage by obtaining permission for the public rights of way diversion.
“This has enabled our client to continue with the implementation of the next forest village, with construction due to start in 2010.”
Martin Dalby, chief executive officer of Center Parcs, added: “We are thrilled to have finally reached this point and would like to thank all of those who have helped us in the recent public inquiry. We can now enter the next phase of our project and look forward to bringing Center Parcs to Bedfordshire.”
