Central YMCA launches Y Plan DVD
Central YMCA is excited to announce the launch of The Y Plan: Body Confidence - a new home-workout DVD, with not a former or current TV celebrity in sight!
Instead, this DVD is devised and presented by a team of highly qualified YMCA and guest fitness professionals and demonstrates how short daily work-outs can help achieve fitness and body confidence.
The DVD also features members of the public participating in YMCA fitness classes, engaged in the exercise routines that are designed to be both accessible and highly effective.
The "Y Plan" name became established as a million-plus selling fitness VHS series in the 1990s. The makers of the Y Plan -YMCA - have reunited to create this brand new exercise programme in the hope it will encourage a new generation to make exercise a vital part of their daily lives.
Denise Page, YMCAfit Director, said: "The team behind the DVD are amazing and highly experienced. They stand out knowing their business. The Y Plan: Body Confidence workouts have been created to be great fun and to promote inner confidence, as well as encouraging good posture and providing the essential calorie burning and stress busting physical activity home exercisers love".
The Y Plan: Body Confidence enables beginners and enthusiasts alike to choose a daily work- out to suit their particular lifestyle. They can choose from one to a combination of the six 10- minute sessions. The six workouts include Body Sculpt, Toning, Cardio-kick, Pilates, Dance, and Aerobics, with warm up and cool down elements for a full body exercise experience.
Top YMCA presenters are joined by fitness expert and author Caroline Sandry "I am passionate about helping people change their lives through fitness," says Caroline. "With these simple but effective 10-minute work outs, we are giving people the tools they need to position exercise in their busy lives".
The DVD also features a 15 minute exercise tips section, and an 18 minute behind-the-scenes documentary revealing the background behind the making of the DVD.
Denise Page adds: "Our aim is to spread the message of exercise and help develop new ways of bringing its benefits to a significantly wide proportion of people. We believe it is a tremendous way to boost health, fitness levels and everyday body confidence."
