Chan markets Fitness First Australia
Fitness First Australia has appointed Darren Chan as national marketing manager to oversee the company’s brand development and manage key marketing initiatives for existing and future Australian club launches.
Chan joins the company from Adidas, where he most recently held the position of sales and marketing director in its Thailand operation. Prior to this, Chan was head of brand communications and retail marketing for Adidas Asia Pacific.
Commenting on his new role Chan said: “In just five years, Fitness First has experienced phenomenal growth. I was lured by the opportunity of being involved in a business which is exciting because of its significant growth potential – both here in Australia and across the globe – as well as an opportunity to build Fitness First into a leading brand.”
Fitness First is the market leader health club operator in Australia. It currently manages 56 clubs throughout the country, with more than 260,000 members in total.
