Changes at the top at Queens Moat
Hotel group, Queens Moat, has reported that it is continuing with its strategic review and discussions with lenders announced on 29 September and hopes to complete both as soon as possible.
To assist in the completion of the review, the company has made changes to the board. These have seen the resignations of chair, Richard Jewson, and also Michael Beckett, both non-executive directors since 1993.
Steve Marshall, formerly group chief executive of both Railtrack Group and Thorn, has joined the board as chair and will take direct responsibility for overseeing the conclusions of the review and their implementation.
Andrew Glasgow OBE, currently chief executive officer of Coal Products, and Kailayapillai Ranjan, currently finance director of Petchey (Holdings), have both joined the board as non-executive directors.
Queens Moat says that the changes will allow its executive management team – headed by group chief executive, Stuart Metcalfe – to remain focused on the operational management of the business.
