Charges possible over health club lift death
The Evening Standard has reported police are considering corporate manslaughter charges over the case in which an office worker was killed when a lift failed at Holmes Place's Broadgate club.
A police spokesman said they have been checking maintenance logs for the lift and that an engineer from the Health and Safety Executive has examined the site, but would not comment further other than to say that the investigation is continuing and a full report is expected soon.A spokesperson for Holmes Place said that maintenance of the lift was sub-contracted to an outside agency.
