Cheadle Sports Village nears completion
Staffordshire Moorlands District Council (SMDC) has announced that construction work on the £882,850 Cheadle Sports Village scheme is nearing completion.
Due to be completed at the end of March, the project aims to rejuvenate the town's sporting facilities and will include a new floodlit synthetic pitch. Located on land surrounding South Moorlands Leisure Centre, the pitch will also be able to be divided into two smaller pitches. A pavilion is also proposed.
SMDC portfolio holder for leisure, sports, parks and countryside Mark Deaville said: "This project is revitalising the town's sports facilities and giving many more people a chance to play sport."
