Chicago Sofitel wins MIPIM award
The Sofitel Chicago Water Tower, part of the Sofitel brand from Accor hotels, has won a MIPIM Award in the Hotels and Tourism Resorts Category.
Its competition for the ward included the Elsyium Beach Resort Paphos in Cyprus and the Park Hyatt Paris Vendôme.
The Sofitel Chicago Water Tower opened on 24 June 2002, and has a white glass exterior designed by Jean-Paul Vignier to look like the prow of a ship.
The 13th Mipim Awards (International Property Market Awards) took place at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes earlier this month.
