Choice looks to shareholders in expansion drive
Choice Hotels Europe (CHE) has called an extraordinary general meeting to happen on 16 August to seek £5.06m in equity.
CHE said that the funding would “enable a new phase in the group’s development programme to take place” and allocated towards the acquisition of six new Sleep Inn hotels through leasehold agreements.
The company also announced that construction work on its 71-bedroom Sleep In Tewkesbury had begun. CHE expects the hotel to be ready by the end of February 2005. Details: www.choicehotelseurope.com
