Cineworld reports strong estimated results
The Cineworld cinema chain has reported strong half-year results, boosted by blockbusters including Slumdog Millionaire and Star Trek.
Estimated revenues for the 27 weeks to 2 July were up 16.5 per cent, while box office increased 22.5 per cent.
The firm expects to do well in the second half of the year, with upcoming films such as Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Ice Age 3.
The company will publish its results for the six months to 2 July in August.
