CityInn Westminster reveals Christmas design treat
London’s CityInn Westminster has announced the winners of a competition organised in conjunction with the Chelsea College of Arts and Design to create a Christmas tree for the hotel’s entrance hall.
The brief said that the exhibit – a freestanding installation – had to complement the property as well as enhance its reputation for displaying contemporary art.
Twenty students from the college worked in four groups with a budget of £1,000.
The winning design, by students Andrea Enston, Joy Flanagan, Liza Honey, Gelareh Yarandi and Elisabeth Brown was revealed on 29 November. It will remain on display in the hotel until 3 January. Details: www.cityinn.com
